Through the Design District we encourage a public policy which develops the Barracas area promoting design as a competitive factor in the economy and central element to cultural identity and social innovation from Buenos Aires to the world. We want the neighborhood to become a major design center.

Mirar Barracas, produced by the Design District and CPAU tells a story of growth, decay and rebirth expressed in high quality urban spaces, the statuary, the places of worship, public parks, modern architecture present in hospitals, schools and residential buildings center. Across the route of a special tour of its streets and squares Mirar Barracas realizes the past, present and future of the Design District center.
